Linking indoor living to the outdoor area
If a patio, courtyard or garden is important to daily life, include the route from inside in the assessment. Sliding tracks, a door that is difficult to hold and surface changes can be separate parts of the problem.
For an outdoor access change, ask how drainage and weather sealing will be maintained. A threshold product should not prevent a door operating or block water paths designed into the existing opening.
Questions to bring to an assessment in Mermaid Waters
- Which activity, room or entrance is most difficult now?
- What does the complete route look like with doors and furniture in use?
- Is there an OT recommendation, provider requirement or existing plan to consider?
- Who owns the areas affected, and what permissions need to be established?
- How will the household manage while the work is underway?
Private projects and funding enquiries
Tell us whether the project is privately funded or connected to NDIS, Support at Home or an insurance enquiry. Funding decisions are made by the relevant body, not by this website. Confirm the scope, provider eligibility and payment arrangements before committing to funded work.
Compare the funding pathways or understand the factors behind a construction quote.
What this local page does and does not mean
Mermaid Waters is listed as a service area. We do not claim a separate office, local showroom or completed project at this location. An enquiry allows the address, scope and appropriate next step to be checked.
The actual contracting provider, relevant Queensland licence, permissions and any assessment arrangements must be confirmed before work is agreed.
